This blog is about to be relaunched ... or more correctly, ramped up to
what had been intended when I set it up fourish years ago. Friends may
disagree, but I'm not one to editorialise, so this blog will be a digest
of some interesting bits happening in the Australian book and
publishing scene. It will start out humbly, but hopefully will grow, as
time and resources permit, into yet another comprehensive resource of
materials to fan the lusty fire of Australian letters.

But pardon, and gentles all,
The flat unraised spirits that have dared
On this unworthy scaffold to bring forth
So great an object: can this cockpit hold
The vasty fields of France? or may we cram
Within this wooden O the very casques
That did affright the air at Agincourt?
I really must learn to stop moving my lips when I read those words ...
